Aviva Vote

The success of SI Poole’s bid for an Aviva Community Fund grant depends on the outcome of the public vote. A big thank you to everyone who voted for our Loves Me Loves Me Not project. We will know the result at the end of June.

About Loves Me Loves Me Not
We are running a project to educate people in Dorset – particularly young people – about healthy relationships and respect.  We also want to raise awareness of grooming and trafficking. A key part of the project will be a competition for school students in years 8-10 to develop printed materials, videos or mobile phone apps to inform themselves and their peers about this subject.
We need money for competition packs, which will be distributed online and as printed packs, and also for prizes for the winners in each category.
We have printed materials available already and they are in need of updating, so we also need money for reprinting them. Our aim will also be to obtain the PHSE Association’s Quality Assurance mark for the items. This will encourage more schools across the UK to use such items for relationship education.

They are inviting representatives from businesses, organisations, statutory agencies, health and education etc to come and be informed so as to then be able to cascade the information on to their frontline staff who are probably coming into contact with traffickers and victims in their day to day work/lives without realising it.

For more information email SI Medway.
